MAS is looking for artists with a similar vision of empowering people, addressing health inequalities through their art.
The 100 voices captured will each be used to inspire a piece of artwork (in any medium). These will be shared across all platforms and eventually exhibited with our grand finale exhibition evening. A QR code linking the artwork to the corresponding story will be included.
Artworks can be sold as originals +- limited edition prints. In lieu of a commission fee, MAS asks artists to return 20% of the sales to the MAS charities being supported by the fundraising event. MAS wants to help provide a platform for emerging artists with a similar vision share their work and their own voice. Bringing together talent to make a difference.
Open Calls are now active and available for submissions on Curatorspace and Zealous. Click below to apply.
We already have 100 Voices and even more on the reserve list. However due to location, set dates and medical interruptions we are always keen to have people register their interest incase a space becomes available!
We are looking for people with female-related health issues, to share their stories. We will be interviewing as any of these in person as possible, or where needed remotely. Volunteers will share their story of discovering their health issue, what challenges they faced and how and where they found the strength to move forward. The focus is on the strength and resilience found. We want to be real, raw and honest about what humans face, and turns these stories into works of art.
Volunteers do not need to be artistic! We have artists doing that part!
There is also the option to be photographed professionally.
Any volunteers will receive a signed print of the artworks produced based on their story and invited to the fundraising event. For more information please see the Volunteer Information at the bottom of the website.
